This year marks the launch of a brand-new nine-year cycle that sets the tone not just for 2026, but all the way through 2034. We’re entering a time when anything is possible, and I do mean anything. But this year’s possibilities require participation from all of us.

The Breakdown of 2026

Composed mostly of even numbers, this year is about taking action and birthing something new. Here’s what’s influencing us behind the scenes:

• Double 2s: Collaboration and diplomacy. Partnerships and peacekeeping remain essential, with the twin 2s reminding us that no one succeeds in isolation.
• 0: Infinite potential. The zero amplifies whatever it touches, making intentions even more powerful this year.
• 6: Responsibility, ethics, and values. The harmonious 6 insists that innovation be grounded in humanity and morality.

Together, these vibrations make 2026 a year of conscious creation, where new beginnings require courage, clarity, and heart.

The “Two-Act Play”

Now, of all numbered years in numerology, no two are more intertwined than the 9 and the 1. 9 dismantles, dissolves, and exposes; whereas 1 rebuilds, initiates, and pioneers. So, to understand what 2026 may bring, we must first understand what 2025 cleared away.

  Spiritual complacency, fear-based beliefs, and illusions of safety fell by the wayside. More and more people publicly acknowledged burnout, emotional exhaustion, and the impact of long-term stress. The old story of “push through, keep performing, silence your feelings” stopped working.

These societal cracks revealed what could no longer be ignored and made it impossible to cling to outdated cycles. As old structures fell away, so did our ability to pretend they still worked. In clearing out what had run its course, 2025 created the opening for something new to take root.

The Predictable Pattern: The 84-Year Cycle

Here’s where the plot thickens!

Allow me to get astrological for a minute. Every 84 years, during a Uranus return, the collective experiences three major events that forever change our future:

1. A clash of ideologies
2. A defining governing document
3. A communication breakthrough that changes how humans connect

This is a significant mash-up that has aligned with some of history’s most notable events.

In the most recent cycle, 1939–1945, the world was reshaped by World War II, the early framework of the United Nations, and the birth of the first true computer (ENIAC), which set the technological age in motion.

The cycle before that, 1858–1866, carried the United States through the Civil War, the Emancipation Proclamation, and the invention of the telephone, a breakthrough that allowed human voices to circle the globe in seconds.

And going back one more cycle to 1774–1782, we find the American Revolution, the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and the emergence of the steam engine, the innovation that ignited the Industrial Revolution.

Each cycle resets humanity’s trajectory, each one birthing a new way forward. And now? We’re standing at the threshold of another “new way.”

What to Expect

So, if history is a guide, the clash we’re heading toward involves what it means to be sovereign and self-directed. The governing document will redefine what it means to be human in the digital age. And the communication breakthrough may very well alter language, learning, and connection as we know them.

While the 1 (universal year) brings innovation and the double 2s (breakdown of 2026) stir tension and diplomacy, it’s the 6 that determines what we end up fighting over, building, or reinventing. And when you filter that through the anticipated 84-year cycle, the three life-changing aspects are likely to revolve around questions of care, justice, and accountability.

And if we’re being honest? My gut points toward AI as the epicenter. Love it, hate it, or fear it… Everyone interacts with it and is influenced by it. And because human nature rarely changes, the world will absolutely need some framework that defines what’s responsible, what’s risky, and what crosses the line.

This is why I think a global “AI code of ethics” or some “digital dignity charter” is not just possible, but probable. We’re at the point where we are no longer asking what AI can do. We’re about to decide what it should do.

• Redefine Leadership — Ethics and empathy win here. Watch for a rise in transparent, heart-centered leaders and the fall of performative ones.

• Start Where You Stand — A 1 Year rewards doing things, not doing them perfectly. Begin now and adjust as you go. “Fail fast, learn faster” becomes the universal motto. Creative and spiritual projects thrive under those willing to experiment.

• Collaborate Consciously — Expect unexpected alliances between awakened individuals. Imagine spiritual teachers teaming up with scientists, or artists working with techies.

• Double 2: Think diplomacy, balanced judgment, and the power of cooperation. This is your cue to lean into connections and prioritize understanding.
• 0: The great cosmic circle of life – oneness, cycles, and infinite possibilities. It’s a reminder to be intentional and make choices that align with your true self.

There are different calculation methods, yet I prefer the “3-Step Method,” which reduces the month, day, and year of birth into three separate digits (or master numbers) and then adds them together.  Let’s use the birthdate February 2, 1987, as an example.

• Month: February (2)
• Day: 2
• Year: 1987 (1 + 9 + 8 + 7 = 7)

Add the three digits together: 2 (Month) + 2 (Day) + 7 (Year) = 11. Then, further, reduce the composite sum to a single digit (or leave it as a master number). In our example, the February 2, 1987, birthdate has a life path number of 11.

In many spiritual traditions, this cycle of life, death, and rebirth is all about growth, learning, and karma – kind of like going back to school every year, but with different teachers and classmates (and maybe a new hairstyle).

Some of the most well-known reincarnation philosophies come from Hinduism and Buddhism, where it’s believed that how you live one life influences your next. Mess up royally this time? No worries, you’ll just be back next time with some new lessons.

But here’s the thing: reincarnation isn’t just a “spiritual belief.” It’s a way to look at life that resonates with people from all kinds of backgrounds. Whether or not you’re a yogi or spiritual seeker, it raises some pretty interesting questions about what happens after we kick the bucket – and whether our soul is really done after one go. And that’s why it’s worth considering, even if you’re not planning on diving headfirst into past-life regression therapy just yet.

Now, here’s where things get even more interesting – reincarnation isn’t just about hopping from one body to another like a cosmic game of musical chairs. One lifetime they’re your mother, the next they might be your best friend – or even that frustrating co-worker who just doesn’t get it. The thing is, the connections are deep, and they’re all part of this beautiful continuity of life.

For me, one was my mom. She used to call me “Sister Sarah,” and sometimes just Sarah, even though my name is Brandi. I asked her at one point, ” Why?” and she wasn’t sure. I always wondered why and thought maybe we had been (relational) sisters in another life. Then, after an astrological reading, I found out we might have been nuns together. I hadn’t thought of that! Could it be both? I like to think reincarnation leaves plenty of room for stories like this to exist at the same time.

This idea of reincarnating with the same souls isn’t just about spiritual nostalgia – it’s about growth. The people in our lives, whether they’re lifting us up or challenging us, are part of our soul group’s master plan. We’re all here to help each other evolve, lifetime after lifetime. Whether or not you fully believe in former lives, the idea of reincarnation offers an amazing framework for reflecting on who you are now and who you’re becoming.

And the beauty of it? Even if you’ve made mistakes (because let’s face it, we all have), the lessons you learn from them don’t go to waste. And it doesn’t stop there. Even your choice of Halloween costume might have something to say about who you’ve been. Some of my favorite costumes? A witch, a Greek goddess, a Roman warrior (à la Xena), and even a gypsy. I’ve also been a devil, so… maybe not all costumes speak to former lives. But hey, who’s counting? These choices might be clues about the different roles my soul has played before. Maybe that Roman warrior costume wasn’t just for fun – perhaps it was a throwback to a life spent in battle.

The idea is that everything we’ve ever been is recorded in our Akashic Records (which is like the cosmic library that holds all the data on our soul’s journey). And while we don’t always consciously remember our former lives, the clues show up in our strengths, weaknesses, fears, and even in the stuff we’re drawn to. That irrational fear of water? Maybe you had a bad experience on the Titanic or drowned. Your love of ancient architecture? Maybe you helped build pyramids back in the day. For me, it was snakes. I had a major phobia of them, and after a session with a mystic, I found out why. I was told I was killed by an asp (actually several of them) in a former life, and the trauma from that filtered over into other lives – including this one. What’s even more fascinating is that I was told I used to work closely with serpents in that lifetime. Go figure, right? It’s wild how these things carry over.
